Join Calgary-based artist and teacher Bill Morton for a two day workshop in the art of Isi-Katagami, the Japanese craft of making paper stencils for textile dyeing and surface design. You will learn to design, cut, mount and attach a gause to a Mulberry Paper stencil. From there we will learn techniques for direct stencil printing with plant dyes on fabric. Expand your knowledge and take home a one-of-a-kind silk scarf, new skills and your stencil for further exploration. No previous experience is needed.
