Join fibre artist, Corinne Cowell, for a contemporary take on the ancient techniques of wet and needle felting. This introductory class begins by exploring the nature of wet felting. Basing your imagery on the world around you, you will wet felt your 'canvas' or background piece and build on it through needle felting to fine tune and sharpen your piece, giving added dimension through relief and colour contrast while creating a city or landscape. You will come away from this class with a basic understanding of wool and other fibres as well as a finished piece to either spur you on to further exploration or just to remind you of this meditative and fulfilling artistic process.
